England's cerebral palsy football team has secured the International Trophy ©The FAEngland's cerebral palsy football squad have secured their ninth seven-a-side International Trophy after defeating the United States on goal difference in Barcelona.

In a tight match, both sides put on dominant performances but England failed to make it an early lead when Alex Mullin was unable to finish following some good play by Alistair Patrick-Heselton.

However, Mullin redeemed himself with a goal to give England the breakthrough in the last minute of the first half.

The second half saw England trying to make it 2-0, but the US levelled the scoreline to bring themselves back into the game.

England found their rhythm once more and, even though James Blackwell was unfortunate to see his free kick hit the post, they were announced as the winners of the tournament.

Mullin was named Player of the Tournament.

The teams are now gearing up for next month's European Championship in Portugal.
