Twelve nations will field full teams at the Para-dressage event, which is being held alongside the able-bodied FEI European Championships for the first time in its history, including the world's top three nations in the sport - the Netherlands, France and Italy.

Germany, Belgium, Britain - who will head to the Danish city to defend their title - Ireland, Finland, Norway, Russia and hosts Denmark, who are ranked fourth in the world, will also be competing in the team event, while Belarus, Czech Republic, Israel, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden will send individual athletes.


The impressive field features a number of Paralympic champions, including Britons Sophie Christiansen (pictured top) and Natasha Baker, Belgium's Michèle George, German Hannelore Brenner and Austria's Pepo Puch.

Britain won eight of the 11 gold medals on offer, including the team title, at the 2011 Championships in Moorsele, Belgium, with only Puch, Brenner and Denmark's Stinna Kaastrup preventing a British clean sweep.

The FEI European Para-Equestrian Championships are due to take place on August 20 until 25.
