Cooke, who claimed two gold medals at last year's World Championships in Baie-Comeau, Canada powered her way to wins in the women's T2 time trial and road race events in the Victoria town.

The 52-year-old looked impressive in the time trial as she finished almost ten minutes clear of Gabrielle Vassallo in a time of 28 minutes 33.72 seconds.

The same two battled it out in the road race and once again it was Cooke who prevailed, this time crossing the line in 39:55:330 - more than 11 minutes ahead of her opponent.

Nicholas added to his reputation as one of the best young Para-cyclists in the world by taking wins in the men's C3 time trial and road race events.

The 22-year-old finished the time trial final in 22:29.59 more than four minutes clear of the chasing pack, while he had a similar margin of victory in the road race finishing in 1:48:07:02 ahead of Noel Sens and Glen Jarvis.

Fellow Paralympian Stuart Tripp also claimed a double as he took home the men's C5 titles, while Grant Allen denied Nigel Barley a double in the men's C4 class as he edged clear of the London 2012 silver medallist in the road race.

Paralympic champion Susan Powell returned to the road to follow up her track world title in Aguascalientes, Mexico, last month with both women's C4 races, while double world champion Jayme Richardson also switched from the track to the road to take victory in the women's C1 time trial.

It was a similar story for fellow track gold medallist Michael Gallagher, who secured a win in the men's C5 time trial final.
