Tahti, an IPC World Championship gold medallist in Lyon last year, followed up his win in the T54 100 metres yesterday with another victory in the 200m.

The Finn clocked a time of 26.10sec to finish narrowly ahead of Germany's Marc Schuh and compatriot Esa-Pekka Mattila, to repeat the podium from yesterday's race.

Schuh was not the only home athlete to just miss out on topping the podium on the final day of action at the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Sports Park.

Felix Streng underlined his rising status on the international stage by pushing London 2012 bronze medallist Arnu Fourie of South Africa right to the end in their T44 200m clash.

Fourie crossed the line just 0.03 ahead of Streng with Brazilian Renato Nunes Da Cruz in third.

Junior world champion Streng looks set to be a real contender at the European Championships in Swansea in August.

"I'm looking forward to it," said the 19-year-old.

"I'm hopefully going to make a few good races there."

Irmgard Bensusan raised a cheer from the home crowd after powering to a win in the women's T43/T44 200m ahead of Great Britain's Laura Sugar.

To carry on the theme of the weekend, Brazil proved sprint kings once again in Berlin as they secured three more titles today.

The irrepressible Terezinha Guilhermina was once again to the fore as she secured the T11 double.

After bagging the 100m title yesterday, the Paralympic and world champion added the 200m finishing ahead of perennial rivals and compatriots Jhulia Santos and Jerusa Santos in a time of 25.09.

Veronica Hipolito continues to demonstrate why she will be one of the stars of the Rio 2016 Paralympics on home soil as she added to her 100m yesterday by taking victory in the T36/T38 200m.

The 18-year-old powered to the line in 28:22 ahead of German duo Maria Seifert and Claud Nicoleetzik.

After finishing behind compatriot and world champion Lucas Prado in the 100m yesterday, London 2012 gold medallist Felipe Gomez reversed the result by taking the 200m win in a time of 23.22, while Turkey's Mehmet Tunc had to settle for third place just as he had the day before.

The IPC Athletics Grand Prix season is due to come to an end with the Final at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium on August 25.

Before then, attention will be on Swansea as it hosts the European Championships, from August 18 to 23.
