Stephen Miller 11June 25 - Britain's triple Paralympic champion Stephen Miller warmed up for London 2012 in perfect style by claiming his third consecutive title in the F32 club throw at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) European Athletics Championships in Stadskanaal.

Despite throwing into a strong headwind between heavy rain showers, the 32-year-old from Gateshead (pictured top) claimed a comfortable victory with a throw of 29.10 metres.

The Czech Republic's František Serbus grabbed silver with 26.08m and Croatia's Slaven Hudina took bronze with 24.84m.

"I thought I threw pretty well," said Miller, who will be competing at his fifth Paralympics at London 2012 and whose victory took Britain's gold medal tally in the Netherlands to four.

"I wanted to break my European record of 34.93m and I thought I had that kind of throw in me, but I'm sure we all lost a couple of metres in the conditions.

"I'm happy with a win and to become a three-times European champion.

"I think that will be my last competition before London so it's back to the gym for some hard work."

There were 200 metres bronze medals on day two for Britain from Olivia Breen in the T38 category, Sally Brown in T46 and Sophia Warner in T35, taking the team's overall medal total to 10.

The day also saw some stand-out international performances as three world records fell.

Ukraine's Marlia Pomazan claimed a new benchmark in the first event of the day throwing 11.34m in the shot put F35 class.

Serbia's Tanja Dragić (pictured above) also bagged a world record in the javelin F12 category thanks to a throw of 37.85m.

Finally, Lithuania's Mindaugas Bilius recorded a new world best with a throw of 14.24m in the shot put F37 final.
