The Countess will make her first ever visit to the Hall of Fame, situated at the entrance of Stoke Mandeville Stadium and created in 2003, which recognises individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to British wheelchair sport.

She will be guided around the venue, where patients from Stanmore and Stoke Mandeville's spinal injury centres take part in table tennis, wheelchair rugby and archery, by WheelPower chief executive Martin McElhatton before revealing the four new additions to the Hall of Fame as elected by WheelPower's board of trustees.

"We are delighted to welcome The Countess of Wessex to this special occasion at Stoke Mandeville Stadium," WheelPower chairman Kevan Baker said.

"The Hall of Fame is an honour exclusively reserved for the top contributors to British wheelchair sport both past and present.

"The current names on the board have not only made remarkable achievements on a personal level, they have inspired and facilitated disabled people all over the country to take up sport.
