Iran celebrate winning a bronze medal in the men's 7-a-side football at the London 2012 Paralympic Games ©Getty ImagesThe Iranian National Paralympic Committee is set to host its National Paralympic Week celebrations from October 10 and 16.

More than 40,000 people with varying impairments are expected to attend the celebrations throughout the country.

High Governmental officials, sports figures and a number of elite athletes attending the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games will also participate.

As with the last National Paralympic Week held in 2013, attendees will also be able to experience a number of Para-sport activities.

The main ceremony will be held on October 12 in the indoor Azadi Sport Complex in Tehran.

There will be a special message from Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the UN on Sport for Development and Peace, delivered during the ceremony.
