YESSS Electrical has become the latest supporting partner of the Invictus Games ©Getty ImagesWith less than 100 days to go until the start of the inaugural Invictus Games, one of the UK's fastest growing companies, YESSS Electrical, has become its latest partner.

The Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick service personnel, was launched by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, in March.

It is expected to see around 400 servicemen and women, serving and veteran, competing in venues in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Lee Valley Athletics Centre from September 10 to 14.

As supporting partner, YESSS Electrical said it hoped its backing of the Games would open up training opportunities for those leaving the armed forces.

Andy Singleton, one of the founding directors of YESSS, added: "To support the Invictus Games is a great honour as this is a visionary initiative that will really capture the imagination of the British public.

"The events of the Games in September will signify the start of a legacy programme to support accessibility of adaptive sport and further employment opportunities for transitioning servicemen and women leaving the Armed Forces.

"For YESSS to be part of this legacy is a real privilege."

The Yorkshire-based group was launched in 2012 and now has 84 branches across the UK, employing about 750 people, with annual sales of more than £150 million ($252 million/€184 million).

It is already the fourth largest electrical wholesaler in the UK, providing hundreds of thousands of electrical products to customers across the country.

Sir Keith Mills, chairman of the Invictus Games, said he was "thrilled to welcome YESSS to the Invictus Games".

He added: "They share the same vision as us and will not only be a valued partner in the run-up to the Games but also help us deliver on our legacy of supporting wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women."
