British team leader delighted with Singapore performance

August 27 - Team GB Chef de Mission Jan Paterson today expressed her delight with Britain’s performance at the inaugural Summer Youth Olympic Games here as the 39 athletes picked up an impressive haul of 13 medals, five of which are gold, including one for taekwondo player Jade Jones (pictured).







Bolarinwa and Tagoe win relay medals at Youth Olympics

August 23 - British athletes collected two more Youth Olympic medals on day eight of competition in Singapore as the team’s Flag Bearer at the Opening Ceremony David Bolarinwa (pictured) won a silver medal in the men’s continental medley relay while Annie Tagoe claimed bronze in the women’s race.

August 22 - Sam Oldham (pictured) produced a faultless display to win the gold medal in the men's horizontal bar final at the Summer Youth Olympic Games here tonight. 


Daley's Youth Olympic hopes take a dive

August 22 - Britain's Tom Daley (pictured) missed out on a medal in the men’s 3 metre springboard final at the Summer Youth Olympic Games here tonight at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex after a horrific third dive left him well down the field in ninth place with a lowly score of 514.35 points.
