Lindsey Vonn_head_and_shouldersMarch 25 - American Olympic champions Lindsey Vonn (pictured), Dara Torres and Mia Hamm are teaming up to promote the department store Kohl's.

They form a star studded cast of athletes to promote the store, as part of Kohl's "Shop to Win" campaign, which will use traditional and digital marketing platforms.

It is the first time Kohl's have used Olympic athletes in their marketing strategy.

The campaign revolves around the athletes shoppin at the department store, with Kohl's hoping to use their appeal to encourage women to come to their stores.

The adverts broadcast this summer will aim to get across some of the feelings Olympians experience, such as the thrill of victory and the adrenaline surge whilst competing for medals.

Vonn has just won her fourth overall Alpine Ski World Cup title, while swimmer Torres is training for her sixth Olympic Games in London this summer.

She has amassed 12 Olympic medals, four of each colour, during her glittering career, while Hamm is now retired from football having picked up two gold medals at Olympic Games.

"We are excited to launch the spring 'Shop to Win' marketing campaign, featuring three world-class female Olympic athletes," said Julie Gardner, Kohl's executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

"The campaign depicts shopping as a sport and captures the emotion felt when women search for and find great deals for themselves and their families.

"We are confident this will resonate with women who are seeking great style at a great value."
