June 9 - Forman's Fish Island – the closest venue to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford – has announced that legendary jazz group The Ronnie Scott's All Stars will play at the venue for the duration of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The group have acquired global recognition due to their music at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, the famous club which has operated in Soho in central London since 1959.
The jazz group will appear at the high profile restaurant and entertainment venue for all 17 nights of the London 2012 Olympics as part of a plan to recreate the nightclub atmosphere of the Soho jazz club.
The latest announcement comes less than a month after managing director Lance Forman unveiled plans for a distinctive Fish Island Riviera, which will offer corporate hospitality for the Games.
Adjacent to Forman's Salmon Smokery, the Fish Island Riviera will consist of 30 individual suites, including a balcony offering views of the Olympic Park and food from renowned caterers The Admirable Crichton.

"This is the ultimate meeting of great food and great music, two London institutions coming together for a festival of fine dining and the finest jazz," Forman said.
"I'm working on a new salmon cure for the occasion – look out for my Gravad-sax.
"Visitors to the Olympic Park can enjoy West End entertainment and delicious food just a five minute walk from the Olympic Stadium.
"No queues, brilliant fun and with a taxi rank."
Comprising some of the United Kingdom's greatest musical talents, including Ronnie Scott's musical director James Pearson, The Ronnie Scott's All Stars have performed with some of the greatest names in the history of jazz.
"The West End goes East End – this is where the world will be," said Arthur Somerset, director of events at Forman's Fish Island.

The Ronnie Scott's All Star Band will perform nightly from 10pm – 3am GMT with the Forman's club set to close at 4am during the Olympics.
The performances will be included in the package for late diners booked at Forman's Fish Island for the period.
