Beckham and Team GB stars show appreciation for UK Forces during the Games

August 20 - David Beckham and British London 2012 top athletes Tom Daley, Laura Trott, and Pete Reed are supporting a range of Paralympic supporter wear that helps injured UK servicemen and women get back into sport.

Adidas, the Official Sportswear Provider for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games have launched a limited edition t-shirt and baseball cap, and are donating proceeds from sales to the British Paralympic Association (BPA).

For every t-shirt and cap sold, £5 ($8/€6) and £2 ($3/€2.50) respectively will go directly to the BPA to support the Front Line to Start Line campaign, recently launched in partnership with Help for Heroes to help injured service personnel progress in competitive sport.

This summer's Paralympic games, will see a record number of six injured servicemen and women compete.

They were introduced to their sports via the Battle Back programme, a Ministry of Defence initiative designed to promote confidence and independence and help accelerate physical, psychological and social recovery.

Nick Craggs of adidas, said: "We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to contribute to this cause by supplying this limited edition range.

"The British Armed Forces played such a crucial role in the success of London 2012 and we are glad to be able to give something back."

The Paralympic supporter wear can be bought from Olympic venues, addias stores and online for seven weeks from August 20 to October 3.
