Coca Cola has partnered previous events in Canada including the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games ©Getty ImagesDecember 6 - Coca-Cola have been named as an official supplier for the Toronto 2015 Pan and Para Pan American Games.


Under the partnership, Coca Cola will "refresh athletes, officials and spectators with its broad assortment of products - including sparkling soft drinks, still waters, juices and fruit beverages, sports drinks and ready-to-drink teas."

These services will be available at venues throughout Games and including at the Athletes Village, it was revealed.

Coca-Cola have sponsored the Olympic Games since Amsterdam 1928, and have also supported Canada at each of the past Olympic Games in Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, as well as at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg.

The company is also a supporter of all 204 National Olympic Committees and their teams, including those from the Americas and Caribbean coming to Toronto in 2015

Nciola Kettlitz, President of Coca Cola Ltd described how "for decades, Coca-Cola has helped support some of the world's most memorable sporting events."

"Our commitment to sport stems from our goal to educate, innovate and help people lead active, healthy lives," she added.

"Our partnership with Toronto 2015  will support over 7,500 athletes and will help inspire spectators, committed volunteers and sports fans to get active."

Ian Troop, chief executive ot Toronto 2015, was similarly positive about the partnership.

"Coca-Cola has deep roots in Toronto - this is where the company started in Canada a century ago - so it's especially fitting that they're coming on board to support the Toronto 2015 Games," he said.

"They're also a major international supporter of sport, a leader in environmental sustainability and a leader in encouraging young people to lead healthy, active lives.

"Having Coca-Cola join our sponsorship family is a testament to the value of these Games and their ability to transform our communities."
