The agreement will see NTV Spor broadcast the 17-day event, due to open here on June 28, across the whole of Turkey.

NTV Spor will provide seven hours of Games coverage per day across television, internet and mobile platforms, with the majority being broadcast live.

Live coverage of the Opening and Closing ceremonies will also be shown, in addition to making highlight packages available.

NTV Spor will work alongside International Sports Broadcasting (ISB), the company founded in 1996 by Manolo Romero and which has served as the host broadcaster for many leading sporting events, including seven Olympic Games, six Paralympic Games, numerous World Championships and World Cups, and continental events such as the Pan American Games.

ISB has been appointed to manage the sale of broadcast rights for the 2015 European Games to broadcasters throughout Europe and beyond.

The deal has been announced two days before the European Olympic Committees' Coordination Commission is due to carry out an inspection of preparations for Baku 2015.

Raising the event's international profile has been one of the major concerns of the Commission on previous visits. 

"I am very pleased to announce our first international broadcast agreement, which will offer millions of Turkish fans the opportunity to enjoy live coverage of the inaugural European Games," said Simon Clegg, chief operating officer of Baku 2015. 

"Working alongside International Sports Broadcasting, our host broadcaster, NTV Spor will ensure comprehensive broadcasting across a range of media platforms that will be of huge benefit to viewers."

NTV Spor, broadcaster of many major sports events in Turkey, are dedicated to providing high quality coverage of every sport at the European Games they claim.

NTV Spor, founded in March 2008, is part of the a Turkish media conglomerate Doğus Media Group. 

It already holds official broadcasting rights to several leading sporting events, including La Liga, NBA, FA Cup and Wimbledon.

It also broadcast UEFA Euro 2012 and 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches in Turkey. 

"This agreement will unite supporters across Turkey and enable the whole nation to support our athletes selected to compete at the first European Games," said Neşe Gündoğan, secretary general of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey. 

"We have always had a strong and friendly relationship with our close neighbour Azerbaijan, and this deal will reinforce this historic relationship."

ISB are due to provide more than 800 hours of live, state-of-the-art production for the duration of the Games.
