SportAccord Convention_13-03-12March 5 - A Sport Demo Zone for athletes from international federations to entertain delegates with displays will be created for the first time at the SportAccord Convention in Québec in May.

SportAccord takes place on May 20-25 at the Québec City Convention Centre, and the zone, sponsored by the City of Edmonton, will feature a succession of performances from a number of sports including bodybuilding, boules and squash.

SportAccord will also feature an International Federations (IF) Zone for the first time, an area for delegates to meet representatives from federations.

SportAccord Convention executive director Anna Hellman said: "The international federations will be more high-profile, more involved and easier to engage with during this year's event than ever before.

"We have created the Sport Demo Zone and the IF Zone to give federations greater visibility and encourage delegates to connect with them."

The annual event brings together leading sports figures, federations and organising committees of major events.
