Linda Ochoa-Anderson topped the women’s compound ranking round at the Archery World Cup in Berlin.

The Mexican archer achieve a total of 703 out of the available 720 points in front of the Olympiastadion Berlin, which was originally built for the 1936 Olympic Games.

She was the only archer to achieve a score over 700 to seal the number one ranking, heading into the knock-out stage of the competition.

Ochoa-Anderson was followed by Amelie Sancenot, with the Frenchwoman achieving a personal best qualifying score of 698 in second.

The top three was completed by the United States’ Paige Gore, who finished with 695.

World number two Mike Schloesser led the men’s compound standings, as the Dutchman achieved a score of 711 in the ranking round.

The result saw him lock up one of the eight byes on offer, as well as moving him a step closer to qualifying for this year’s World Cup Final in Rome.

“It’s nice because all the hard work I’m putting into my archery lately is paying off,” said Schloesser.

“And also because it’s the last stage, and I want to get some points for the World Cup Final.

“Every shot I took was feeling better and better.”

Schloesser was followed by Denmark’s Stephan Hansen, who finished will a total of 710.

Hansen has already secured his place at the World Cup Final, following his strong performances at the opening three legs of the season.

The top three was completed by Braden Gellenthien, as the American scored 709.

South Korea’s Kim Woo-jin topped the men’s recurve standings on 695, with his team-mate Im Dong Hyun second on 681.

Choi Misun and Chang Hye Jin, also of South Korea, led the women’s event on 682 and 672 respectively.
