The top four seeds all qualified for the semi-finals in the women's team event at the World Squash Federation Junior Championships in New Zealand today.

Top-ranked Egypt were joined in the last four by Malaysia, England and Hong Kong at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre in Tauranga.

Egypt, aiming for a sixth title in a row, brushed aside Germany 3-0 to set up a meeting with fourth ranked Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong side did not have it all their own way, having to come from behind to oust India 2-1.

Third-seeded England beat the United States 2-1 to move into a last four clash with Malaysia.

The latter, ranked second, ended the hopes of hosts New Zealand with a 3-0 win.

"We knew the first would be close," said Hong Kong manager Dick Leung.

"You can never underestimate India, they're a strong team now and their number two is very solid.

"We're delighted to be in the last four, and we'll just go out and give 120 per cent against Egypt."

Andrew Cross, Malaysia's coach, added: "It always looked like we would face England and it's going to be tough, they're a good team.

"The first match is going to be crucial but we'll be giving it our all to try to make the final."

The semi-finals will be played tomorrow.
