Wheelchair tennis players will be seeking to hone their preparations for Wimbledon when they compete at the 2017 Open de France, which will begin tomorrow.

The tournament is set to take place until Sunday (June 25) on hard courts in France’s capital city Paris.

Competition comes just weeks before the second Grand Slam of the season, with wheelchair tennis action at Wimbledon scheduled for July 13 to 16.

Belgium’s Joachim Gerard will head to Paris with the aim of defending the title he earned last year, while Yui Kamiji of Japan is the reigning women’s champion.

France’s Michael Jeremiasz and Stefan Olsson of Sweden won the men’s doubles title in 2016.

The event is an International Tennis Federation Super Series competition.
