Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallists Spain made it two wins out of two at the EuroBasket Women after beating Ukraine at the Hradec Králové Arena today.

Having defeated Hungary 62-48 yesterday, the Spaniards registered a 76-54 win over the Ukrainians to take the outright lead in Group A.

Hosts Czech Republic lost 74-70 against Hungary in the other Group A encounter, condemning them to a second successive defeat. 

Also taking place at the Hradec Králové Arena today were the second set of Group B matches as Slovakia overcame Belarus 68-59 and Turkey edged Italy 54-53 to preserve their unblemished record. 

The Kralovka Arena in Prague, meanwhile, played host to Group C and Group D clashes.

Group C saw Slovenia beat Greece 59-56 and 2015 runners-up France inflict a second-straight defeat on Rio 2016 bronze medallists and defending champions Serbia, winning 73-57. 

Belgium continued their 100 per cent start to Group D with a narrow 76-75 victory over three-time winners Russia.

Joining Russia on a record of one win from two outings are Latvia, who downed Montenegro 76-55.

Group phase action is due to conclude on Monday (June 19) following a rest day tomorrow. 

The winners of each group will automatically advance to the quarter-finals, while the second and third-place teams will face a further qualification match on June 20.

Quarter-final matches will be held two days later, with the last-four encounters set to take place on June 24.

The final is scheduled for the following day, along with the third-place match.
