The International Luge Federation (FIS) has penned extended deals with two sponsors.

Viessmann, a manufacturer of heating systems, has signed on again as title sponsor of the FIL's flagship World Cup circuit.

It will continue 25 years of support provided to the FIL by the company.

They first signed on as a helmet sponsor in May 1993, and have been the World Cup's title sponsor for 22 years.

It means Viessmann will sponsor the World Cup in the 2017-18 season, where lugers will be preparing for the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang in South Korea in February.

The German company previously signed a four year deal with the FIL in 2013.

They have also supported other winter sports including skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh and skeleton.

The second sponsorship deal sees the Eberspächer Group, a company which develops car parts and technology, continue their support of the FIL into the Olympic season.

Both deals were arranged by Rudi Größwang from sports marketing agency RGS.

They were agreed at the FIL's 65th Congress in Constanţa in Romania.
