A development seminar has been held by the Hungarian Floorball Federation in the country’s capital city Budapest.

The three-day event was supported by representatives from the International Floorball Federation (IFF).

Seven nations were present at the seminar, with participants from Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Serbia and Ukraine joining the host nation.

Coaching, refereeing and good governance were the three key topics explored in the seminar, which was designed for more advanced participants.

The IFF state that coach education was carried out in the same was as a level one course, with most of the lectures being held in practice venues.

It was claimed the session provided greater tactical education than at level one, while it gave coaches further information on how to develop players.

A level two referee education course was conducted for the first time at an IFF development programme.

It concentrated on organisational structures and how to build a referee organisation at national association level.

They also hope to host seminars in Indonesia and Slovakia.
