Gold Coast 2018 have appointed Australian-based Sold Out as the official event management company of next year's Commonwealth Games.

Sold Out, whose headquarters are in New South Wales, will assist in the delivery of promotional and marketing events for Gold Coast 2018, including the Queen's Baton Relay and other community engagement activations.

The family-owned company, established in 1993, are also an official supplier of the Gold Coast 2018 Organising Committee.

"Sold Out have been delivering world class events for over 24 years, including the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games," Gold Coast 2018 chairman Peter Beattie said.

"This partnership continues their proud history of staging Oceania's most significant sporting events."

As well as Sydney 2000 and Melbourne 2006, Sold Out have also worked on major events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and the 2006 and 2012 World Surf Life Saving Championships.

They have coordinated the entire national schedule of the Australian Olympic Team's welcome home celebrations since Atlanta 1996.

"We're excited to once again provide our services on home soil for an event of this size and to create engaging and innovative experiences for the Gold Coast, the Australian community and the Commonwealth."

The company become the latest addition to Gold Coast 2018's growing portfolio.

The announcement of the deal with Sold Out comes after organisers signed up RGS Events Australia as the official furniture provider of next year's Games, scheduled to run from April 4 to 15.

"We've worked closely with Sold Out to deliver recent key milestone events including the hugely successful Borobi mascot launch in April 2016," Gold Coast 2018 chief executive Mark Peters said. 

"I look forward to working with them to deliver a great Gold Coast 2018 Games."
