India's Pradipta Kumar Roy and Sudan's Ismail Arbad Abdallah both received the "Best Performer Award" at the World Taekwondo Federation's (WTF) Instructor and Athlete Course at the Taekwondowon in Muju in South Korea.

The event was organised by the WTF in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Culture in the Asian nation.

Jung Seok Yoo, a WTF director, gave Roy and Abdallah their awards, according to the Times of India.

They were chosen from 50 instructors from all of the world after their work in Muju, the host city of this year's WTF World Championships.

A number of other officials and representatives from the world governing body were also present at the event and award ceremony.

Neither India or Sudan were present at the Rio 2016 Olympic taekwondo tournament in August.
