The company is the official representative in Brazil of international brands in the sport and fitness market such as Ziva, Rephouse, Arena, Revvll, Stroops and Fusion Sports.

They have been a partner of the COB for the supply of products and equipment to two high-performance training centres in Brazil - the Maria Lenk Aquatics Center and the Time Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro - since 2016.

The deal between BRW Sports Group and the COB, who claim the agreement provides a boost to their preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is due to run through to 2020.

"With this, the team Brazil athletes, in various modalities, will have state-of-the-art equipment to prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games," the COB said in a statement.

COB President Carlos Nuzman, who performed the same role for the Organising Committee of last year's Olympic Games in Rio, welcomed the agreement with BRW Sports Group.

"We know the work of the BRW Sports Group last year and we have always been praised by the athletes," Nuzman said. 

"It is very gratifying to extend this partnership to Tokyo 2020 and count on the company's support in this new Olympic cycle."

Ronaldo Ferreira, chief executive of the company, said the deal would also bring benefits to BRW Sports Group.

"Our goal with this partnership is to acquire knowledge and feedback from the professionals who take care of the preparation of the Olympic athletes," he said. 

"With this, we can create differentiated products and services for the Brazilian market, bringing the most modern and up-to-date for high-performance training and, consequently, also reverting this know-how to our academies, clubs and partner studios.
