Matsko delighted the home crowd by overcoming former junior world champion Maja Blagojevic of Croatia with a 20-second arm lock.

It follows compatriot Aliaksandr Koksha’s triumph in yesterday’s men’s 68kg category.

The women’s 64kg bronze medals went the way of Ukraine’s Yuliia Khramova and Russia’s Anna Shcherbakova.

Also securing a second gold medal of the Championships today were Georgia thanks to Levan Nakhutsrishvili’s 2-1 victory over Bulgaria’s Ashot Martirosyan in the men’s 74kg final

Armenia’s Arsen Ghazaryan and Belarus’ Stsiapan Papou were the bronze medallists.

Bulgaria made their mark in the gold medal stakes through Mariya Oryashkova’s winning performance in the women’s 80kg category.

The world champion used an arm lock to beat Ukraine’s Halyna Kovalska in the final.

Russia’s Daina Ambartcumova and Belarus’ Sviatlana Tsimashenka completed the podium.

Despite the victories for Belarus, Bulgaria and Georgia, it was the sport's powerhouses Russia who again dominated proceedings.
