The second Beijing 2022 Coordination Commission visit has been pushed back from May to June to "better fit the agenda of the participants", the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have told insidethegames.

The Chinese capital's preparations for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games were due to be scrutinised by the IOC delegation, led by Russian Olympic Committee President Alexander Zhukov, from May 22 to 24.

However, IOC officials have now moved the visit, scheduled to be held at the InterContinental Beijing Beichen Hotel, to June 11 to 13.

It is thought the decision was taken to due to the proximity of the meetings to the 2024 Evaluation Commission's inspections of candidate cities Los Angeles and Paris.

There are not any representatives on both the 2022 Coordination Commission and the 2024 Evaluation Commission, but senior officials - such as executive director for the Olympic Games Christophe Dubi - would usually attend the visits.

Other support staff also might feasibly take part in both.

The 2024 Evaluation Commission, led by International Basketball Federation (FIBA) secretary general Patrick Baumann, is due to head to Los Angeles from May 10 to 12.

They were initially supposed to visit the American city from between April 23 and 25 before it was moved following the withdrawal of Budapest from the race for the 2024 Games.

Members on the Evaluation Commission will then travel to Paris to inspect their bid from May 14 to 16.

Baumann, also the President of the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), was appointed to replace Frankie Fredericks as chair of the 2024 Evaluation Commission in March after the Namibian resigned following corruption allegations.

The first Beijing 2022 Coordination Commission inspection, which took place in October, saw the members visit venues in Beijing and Zhangjiakou.

They also held a series of meetings with the Organising Committee.

It was largely overshadowed by speculation about whether Zhukov would be replaced as chairman following suggestions he would step down as ROC President to focus on his work in the country’s Parliament, which would have also seen him relinquish his status as an IOC member.

Zhukov left the first visit two days early as he returned home to Russia to attend a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
