Those who have been successful with their applications will be officially employed by Beijing 2022 in May.

Beijing 2022 have also confirmed they will establish a talent pool for people who did not quite make the grade in the initial recruitment process.

It will be open to those who wish to work for the Organising Committee at some point in the future.

Jobs in the general planning department, the planning construction and sustainability department and in finance and marketing are among those available.

The launch of the worldwide recruitment comes after Beijing 2022 unveiled their marketing programme for the event in five years' time.

It was praised by the International Olympic Committee Coordination Commission as "very strong".

The programme is made up of three key parts, including a sponsorship programme that grants permission to use the marks and related intellectual properties of Beijing 2022.
