World Para Swimming are hosting the courses before the World Series event taking place in the city between July 6 and 9.

From June 29 to July 1, a level two physical impairment classifier class will he held.

Anyone wanting to attend must already have completed level one online course before June 29.

They must also be interested in Para swimming, looking to become a national classifier for their country of residence, work as a health professional or have extensive coaching or have relevant experience of the sport.

Officials from World Para Swimming have said trainees with “a recognised and reputable academic qualification which encompasses a requisite level anatomical, biomedical and sport-specific expertise” will also be considered for the course.

The organisation are also holding a level four technical officials programme course between July 4 and 9.

Successful students will be used as officials during the World Series.

People wishing to apply for a place on the course must already have level one and two qualifications from their National Paralympic Committee or a National Federation along with a recommendation from one of them.

They must also have an International Swimming Federation Member Federation certificate with the minimum qualification as Judge of Stroke, be competent at understanding English and have proof of National Technical Official experience.

The courses are being supported by the International Paralympic Committee, Agitos Foundation and Foundation for Global Sports Development and Behinderten- und Rehabilitations- Sportverband Berlin e.V.
