American Olivia Giaccio won the women's dual moguls title as the International Ski Federation (FIS) Junior Freestyle Skiing World Championships continued in Valmalenco.

She defeated Norway's Nora Lodoen in the big final to win the gold medal on the third day of action at the Italian resort.

The bronze medal went to Russia as Anastasia Smirnova triumphed in the small final.

She defeated Berkley Brown of Canada, who had to settle for fourth place.

In the men's competition, Finland's Riku Voutilainen did enough for gold.

He saw off Britain's Thomas Gerken Schofield in the big final, who collected the silver medal. 

The United States bagged another medal as Jack Kariotis won bronze.

He came through in the small final against Walter Wallberg of Sweden.

Competition is due to continue in Valmalenco tomorrow with the men's and women's slopestyle competitions.

Action will then conclude on Friday (April 7) with ski cross.
