World Archery has announced the signing of a five-year partnership with bow manufacturer Hoyt Archery and arrow maker Easton Archery, covering the Olympic cycle for Tokyo 2020 and into 2021.

Both companies have been long-time supporters of the International Federation’s events, promotional activities and development projects.

The contract was signed during last month’s The Vegas Shoot by World Archery secretary general Tom Dielen, Easton Archery President Mark Pezzoni and Hoyt Archery counterpart Randy Walk.

Hoyt and Easton first partnered with World Archery in 2008.

Jas D Easton, the parent company of both brands, was founded in 1922 by James D Easton and has remained in the family through three generations.

Jim Easton, World Archery Honorary President and an International Olympic Committee (IOC) honorary member, ran the company when it acquired Hoyt in 1983.

World Archery Executive Board member Greg Easton now acts as President of Jas D Easton.

"Hoyt and Easton are some of the most recognisable brand in the archery world," Dielen said.

"The companies’ contribution to the growth and success of the sport at the elite and grassroots level has been monumental.

"We’re proud and excited to continue working with both Hoyt and Easton towards World Archery’s vision of a world in which everyone has access to archery."

Pezzoni claimed World Archery has done "a tremendous job" bringing the sport to a worldwide audience.

"This fits directly with Easton’s vision of 'Advancing Archery’s Legacy'," he said.

"In my opinion, World Archery is definitely helping to popularise the sport and bringing it to more new participants every day."

Walk added: "Hoyt Archery is very proud of its long-standing partnership with World Archery.

"For years, World Archery has been a leader in developing and promoting the sport of archery across the globe and Hoyt is committed to continuing to support this great cause, assisting World Archery in its unparalleled effort."
