Ukraine and France sealed relay gold medals as the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships continued in Finsterau in Germany.

Liudmyla Liashenko won her third title of the event as Ukraine clinched the mixed relay title.

She was joined by fellow standing skiers Oleksandra Kononova and Iuliia Batenkova along with visually impaired athlete Iurii Utkin, who was guided by Ruslan Perekhoda.

They clocked 26min 56.5sec to win in front of Sweden and Belarus.

Liashenko had previously won the individual biathlon and the women's sprint cross-country titles in Finsterau, while Utkin added to his middle distance biathlon crown.

"This is a really good result, we made a huge effort to achieve this," said Ukrainian head coach Andriy Nesterenko.

Sweden were timed at 27:17.5 for silver with Belarus finishing in 28:12.3 for bronze.

France defended their world title in the open relay as they came home in 23:55.9.

Benjamin Daviet, Anthony Chalencon and guide Simon Valverde and Thomas Clarion, guided by Antoine Bollet, made up the team.

Norway clinched silver in 24:19.7 with Canada doing enough for bronze in 24:53.4.

"We love this race and it is nice to have won it," said Clarion.

Action will continue in Finsterau tomorrow with long-distance cross-country races.
