The Learn and Share Seminar will take place during the 50th FIS Congress week in Cancun ©FIS

An annual Leaders’ Seminar will be held by the International Ski Federation (FIS) for developing ski nations during next month's 50th FIS Congress week in Cancun.

The Seminar, taking place in the distinctly un-wintry resort setting of the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun, will address the subject of "Training for Youngsters".

It will examine how various National Ski Associations are educating coaches, as well as how they can seek access to competition equipment to provide everything necessary for youngsters to excel.

Lectures will be held by Peter Läuppi, the official responsible for Education & Research at Swiss-Ski and Christian Frison-Roche, director of the Salomon Racing Team.

Improving knowledge surrounding all of the FIS disciplines will be a major aim of the Seminar ©FIS

Participants will be treated to workshops in each of the FIS Olympic disciplines, seeking to provide further practical know-how for implementing initiatives in their home countries.

It is open to participants of the FIS Development Programme Member Associations.

It will take place on June 5, midway through the week-long Congress marking the 50 year milestone of the organisations.
