Speedo has revealed their three new versions of their Fastskin LZR Racer X elite swimsuit as they officially unveiled their "Team Speedo" athletes.

Their full length LZR Racer suit had become infamous, with their water-repellent fabric having aided swimmers buoyancy and were believed to have helped to reduce times.

Following multiple world records being broken from the suits introduction in 2008 and the 2009 International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships in Rome, the governing body banned full length bodysuits and non-textile swimsuits.

Speedo,  through, believe the three new versions of the suit, one of which has been made especially for the athletes' participation at Rio 2016, remain the most advanced swimwear technology.

The FINA approved suits, with the men’s covering the area from waist to knee and women’s from the shoulder to knees, are claimed to offer “increased targeted compression” which is believed to streamline the body.

Additionally,  their suit support seams have been stated to hold swimmers higher in the water.
