Vlasic delights Croatian fans with record performance

September 5 - Croatia's Blanka Vlasic provided the IAAA/VTB Bank Continental Cup with an emotional finale tonight as she delighted 30,000 vociferous fans at her home stadium in Split by equalling the world’s best high jump performance this year of 2.05 metres.

September 4 - European 400 metres hurdles champion David Greene became the first Briton to run under 48 seconds in 18 years tonight when he earned a shock victory over world champion Bershawn Jackson at the IAAF/VTB Bank Continental Cup in Split, lowering his personal best to 47.88sec.
