"Team disc golf is a riveting format for a World Championship and allows a variety of athletes from around the globe to showcase their skills," Rob Rausch, President of the WFDF Board, said.

"As always, we appreciate the support and encouragement from the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association) and look forward to finding additional ways to cooperate to help grow the sport of disc golf worldwide."

Alutaguse parish is located in Ida-Viru county, which is about 180 kilometres from Estonia's capital Tallinn.

The previous editions of the event took place in Vancouver in Canada in 2016 and the English town of Colchester in 2017.

The WFDF is in the process of deciding the hosts of the 2021 and 2023 tournaments.
