Aurore Cabanne matched Bureau's feat in the women's 60kg event as she overcame Siham Bousnane in the gold medal bout.

Mathilde Clement continued the home nation's impressive performance in the women's divisions, ousting Camille Larose to take the title.

Turkmenistan proved the country to beat in the men's categories as Kerim Allanurov and Yusupmyrat Atamyradov claimed the 57kg and 68kg honours, respectively.

Allanurov beat Lithuania's Gintaras Katkus in his final, while Atamyradov swept aside Katkus' campatriot Eimantas Tukaciauskas.

Begench Baltayev denied the hosts another gold medal when he earned victory over Karlen Stepanyan at 74kg.

Guvanch Begaliev was among the other Turkmen sambists to clinch gold as he got past Tom Peyrard of France in the 90kg division.

Russia were also in good form at the event, part of the International Sambo Federation's B category of international competitions.

Kseniya started the gold medal tally by overcoming Noemie Rodriguez in the women's 56kg weight class, before Anton Lebedev topped the 82kg podium.

Lebedev also beat a French athlete, despatching Quentin Henrion to seal gold.

France, Turkmenistan and Russia shared all but two of the titles on offer at the event in the French capital.
