Russia dominated the third day of the World Taekwondo Europe Multi European Games after winning 11 golds in Sofia.

They had previously secured 16 golds, meaning their new total at Sofia's Asics Arena rose to 27.

Ivan Ermakov collected his country's first, triumphing in the junior male A-48 fly event.

He defeated Bulgaria's Lyubomir Bogdanov in the final.

Denis Isvaev won the junior male A-51 bantam, beating Serbia's Novak Stanic.

Russia's third gold medal came through Artem Mytarev in the junior male A-59 light final against Spain's Hugo Arillo Vazquez.

Maxim Emelkin was victorious in the junior male A-68 middle against Bulgaria's Teodor Zdravkov, before Denis Lantratov took Russia's fifth gold medal of the day.

He defeated compatriot Egor Liakh in the final of the junior male A-73 heavy.

In the women's competition, Mariia Zvereva began the gold rush for Russia with victory in the juniors A-42 fin.

Olga Dolgova beat compatriot Amina Cherchesova in the final of the juniors female A-46 bantam event, while Valeriia Kolosova secured gold in the juniors female A-55 welter against Spain's Cheyenne Brito Rico.

Liliia Khuzina got Russia's ninth against countrywoman Uliana Kradinova in the juniors female A-63.

Elizaveta Stepanova won against Spain's Carlota Zanoni Piaget in the junior's female A-68 heavier final, while Linara Muslimova concluded a successful day for Russia with gold in the juniors female A+68 heaviest against Serbia's Olivera Radujkov.
