Athletes looking to participate in the 2019 edition of the World Taekwondo Europe (WTE) Multi European Games in Sofia can now also register to compete in a power breaking contest as part of the event.

Power breaking is due to take place at the Bulgarian capital’s Asics Arena on March 21.

It will mark the first time that such a competition has been held in a European taekwondo event.

Competitors can choose from the categories of fist breaking, knife handbreaking, side/back kick breaking, high jump kick breaking and all-round breaking.

The eligibility criteria of the participants and the respective age classifications are listed in the official power breaking outline, which can be found here.

Participants can register in three events as an individual.

The registration for the event will remain open until 3.59 CET on March 10, while the entry fee payment can be made until 23:59 CET on March 17.

The WTE Multi European Games are scheduled to run from March 21 to 24.
