The Russian International Olympic University is offering the EOC a free scholarship for its Master in Sports Administration course ©EOC

The Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) has offered the European Olympic Committees (EOC) a free scholarship for its Master in Sports Administration (MSA) course.

The MSA course is endorsed by the International Olympic Committee and is located in Sochi in Russia, the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It is a one-year full-time programme, with the scholarship for the academic year running from September 2019 to June 2020.

The course trains a new generation of sports managers with the knowledge and skills to work professionally in any economic environment.

Students will learn how to effectively manage sports venues, clubs and financial and information flows in sport.

They will also be trained in the legal aspects of sport and research methodology.

Learning will be carried out through lectures and seminars, consultations, workshops, case studies, interactive classes, practical application, master classes by successful athletes and research projects.

The course is for those determined to make a career in sport administration who already have higher education qualifications and leadership qualities. 

The scholarship offered to the EOC covers tuition fees and accommodation. 

Applicants are required to send a full CV to the EOC by April 30, 2019.
