Colombia won two of the four 100 metres titles on offer as action continued today at the Inline Speed Skating World Championships in The Netherlands.

Geiny Pajaro took the gold medal in the senior women’s event, while Andrea Plaza Bolaño came out on top in the junior equivalent on the road in Arnhem.

Pajaro triumphed in a time of 10.579sec and was followed in the standings by compatriot Yesenia Escobar in 10.621.

Chinese Taipei’s Chen Ying-Chu claimed the bronze medal in 10.789.

Plaza Bolaño, meanwhile, secured victory in 10.700 with fellow countrywoman Valeria Rodriguez Lopez second in 11.007 and Mathilde Pedronno in 10.958.

Among today’s other winners was Spain’s Ioseba Fernandez, who prevailed in the senior men’s 100m in 9.851.

Colombia’s Edwin Estrada finished second in 9.866 and South Korea's Kim Jinyoung came third in 10.248.

In the junior men’s 100m event, the United States’ Sabien Tinson topped the podium in 9.933.

Colombia’s Alejandro Huertas Vergara was the silver medallist in 10.038.

Spain’s Ivan Galar came away with the the bronze medal in 10.021.

The men’s and women’s junior and senior marathons are due to be held tomorrow.

It will mark the final day of competition.
