Australian Taekwondo have announced that the Word Taekwondo Academy will conduct kukkiwon examiners and masters instructors courses in the country.

It will be the first time the Academy will by holding the courses, with Australian Taekwondo expressing their hope it will increase the professional development of club owners and members.

The courses are expected to enhance the qualifications and personal development of the instructors and examiners.

To participate in the master instructor course, applicants must have achieved a minimum of kukkiwon fourth dan.

"This is an exciting step in our commitment to the professional development of taekwondo in Australia," Australian taekwondo said.

"It represents a unique opportunity for instructors, club owners and members to enhance their skills, qualifications and personal development."

Participants for the examiner course must have previously passed the international master instructors course.

The course is open to Australian Taekwondo members, non-members and international participants.

The examiners course is scheduled to take place from September 2 to 4 at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), while the master instructor course will be held from September 2 to 6.

Due to the length of the courses, Australian Taekwondo will offer full AIS board and accommodation.

The option will be limited to the first 100 applicants.
