Germany dominated the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) European Vaulting Championships for Seniors, winning three out of the four gold medals on offer.

The Germans claimed the men's, women's and team gold medals in Ebreichsdorf in Austria.

Silvia Stopazzini and Lorenzo Lupacchini of Italy briefly halted the Germans' dominance with the pas de deux gold.

Germany's Kristina Boe put on a dominant display throughout the women's individual competition to win her first ever Championship gold medal.

It was a title that had evaded Germany for almost 10 years but Boe sealed gold on a total score of 8,398 points.

The silver medal was won by fellow German Sarah Kay, who scored 8,121 points, while Switzerland’s Nadja Büttiker took the bronze medal on 8,090.

FEI World Cup 2017 winner Anna Cavallaro of Italy just missed out on the medals, finishing in fourth on 7,947 points.

Erik Oese fought off tough competition in the highly competitive men's category to win another gold medal for Germany on 8,232.

His compatriot and 2015 European champion Jannis Drewell claimed the silver medal on 8,148 points, while Frenchman Clément Taillez won his first ever individual medal, taking bronze with 8,078.
