The dates of luge competition at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games have been revealed.

The Games are due to run from February 9 to 25.

Within these dates, it has been confirmed that luge competition will take place across six days from February 10 to 15.

Action is due to take place at the Alpensia Sliding Centre, also the venue for bobsleigh and skeleton action.

Germany will be hoping to repeat their clean sweep of gold medals secured at the 2014 Games in Sochi.

Due to take to the track first is the men's competition, where Felix Loch will be hoping to retain his title.

First and seconds runs are scheduled for February 10 before medal positions will be decided a day later.

The women's event then takes centre stage across February 12 and 13 with Natalie Geisenberger the defending champion.

Following the conclusion of individual events, the doubles competition then takes place on February 14 with Tobias Arlt and Tobias Wendl hoping to win a second successive gold.

Bringing luge competition to a close in South Korea will be the team relay event on February 15.

The German team of Loch, Geisenberger, Arlt and Wendl will be hoping to defend their crown.
