Leng Pina won three golds for China ©IWF

China's Leng Pina completed a golden hat-trick at the International Weightlifting Federation Junior World Championships in Tokyo.

She won the overall title in the women's 90 kilograms division with a combined total of 240kg at the Ota City General Gymnasium in Japan's capital.

Leng also topped both the snatch and clean and jerk sections, winning with best efforts of 107kg and 133kg respectively.

Eileen Cikamatana of Fiji won overall silver on 229kg.

She was also second in the clean and jerk standings, hoisting up 132kg, and third in the snatch, managing 97kg.

Valentyna Kisil of Ukraine won snatch silver with 106kg, allowing her to clinch overall bronze on 227kg.

Daria Riazanova bagged clean and jerk bronze on 127kg.

There was a good day for Iran in the men's 105kg class as Reza Beiralvand won overall gold on 369kg.

He also won the clean and jerk title on 206kg and snatch silver on 163kg.

Dato Khetsuriani of Georgia won the snatch by a wide margin as he clinched gold on 173kg.

However, his clean and jerk of 195kg saw him slip to fourth in the overall rankings.

Armenia's Samvel Gasparyan won overall bronze on 365kg and clean and jerk silver on 205kg.

Takayuki Iwasaki of Japan lifted 163kg for snatch bronze as Aymen Touairi managed 201kg for the equivalent clean and jerk medal.

Action continues in Tokyo, the 2020 Olympic host city, tomorrow.
