Some of the world’s best fencers are set to appear in Colombia’s capital Bogota for the latest Grand Prix event.

Due to start tomorrow, the International Fencing Federation (FIE) sanctioned event will see Olympic champions in the epee category coming to South America.

Among them are reigning mens individual gold medallist Park Sang-Young of South Korea, who heads the field.

Also heading to the Centro de Alto Rendimiento will be Venezuela’s Ruben Limardo, the Olympic champion from London 2012, and the 31-year-old said he is looking forward to the competition.

“For me, it is very important this Grand Prix because I have been adding points throughout the season and the purpose is to continue doing so,” Limardo said.
