The Executive Board of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) convened for the first time since the Presidential election on May 11.

Taking place at La Maison du Sport Français in Paris, the agenda included the election of members to the Executive Board for the next four years.

Denis Masseglia won a third term as President of the CNOSF on May 11.

Masseglia held off his two rivals - Isabelle Lamour, President of the French Fencing Federation, and David Douillet, the double Olympic judo champion and former Sports Minister - to win in the first round of voting.

The 69-year-old secured 56 per cent of the vote against 39 per cent for Lamour and five per cent for Douillet.

Jean-Michel Brun and Jean-Lou Charon were re-elected secretary general and treasurer respectively, while Nicolas Belloir was appointed deputy vice-president alongside Jean-Pierre Siutat.

Jean-Pierre Mougin and Brigitte Henriques, a former French football international, were both appointed associate vice-presidents.

Véronique Moreira, Rio 2016 boxing silver medallist Sarah Ourahmoune and Patrice Martin were also elected to the Executive Board.

Bernard Giudicelli was appointed adviser to Masseglia.

In the days after the election Lamour considered launching an appeal over the result.

According to French media, Lamour, who is married to double Olympic fencing champion and former Sports Minister Jean-François Lamour, claimed she was unhappy with the "completely unacceptable conditions" in which the vote took place.

She claimed Masseglia was allowed to speak to the Ordinary General Assembly before the count.

"We were told at the grand oral on April 25 that no-one would speak again," she said.

"I wanted to tell you that, for my part, I will ask for an appeal with regard to the holding of this election excessively important."

Lamour's camp later confirmed that no appeal would be filed.

The CNOSF's items of business in the coming weeks will include the Paris bid for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
