In today's sporting action Turkey completed a clean sweep of the tennis titles at the Baku Tennis Academy.

Having already won the two doubles and two team titles, they were assured of a full house as all four players in the singles finals were Turkish.

Altug Celikbilek defeated Yuksel Anil 6-4, 6-4 in the men's final while Ayla Aksu comfortably beat doubles partner Berfu Cengiz 6-3, 6-2 in the women's.

Iran completed the Games with two gold medals in the table tennis team finals at the Sarhadchi Arena.

The Alamian brothers, Noshad and Nima, as well as Afshin Noroozi, defeated Turkey 3-1 in the men's event after the women's trio had claimed a gripping 3-1 victory over hosts Azerbaijan in the first final.

Iran took the first point in the men's gold medal match as Nima Alamian came from a game down to beat Ibrahim Gunduz 8-11, 11-5, 11-4, 11-4.

The second match was a far tighter affair, with Ahmet Li of Turkey getting the better of singles champion Noshad Alamian 13-15, 12-10, 13-11, 11-5.

The Turkish pair of Gencay Menge and Gunduz threatened an upset in the doubles, but Noroozi and Nima eventually prevailed 12-10, 9-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4.

That left Iran on the brink of victory and Noshad sealed the gold medal with a 7-11, 11-7, 11-6, 17-15 success against Menge.

Earlier today, Iran had also taken the women's crown by seeing off Azerbaijan.

Ning Zhing of Azerbaijan defeated Iran's Neda Shahsavari in the opening singles rubber 11-4, 11-6, 11-4.

Iran were soon level though as Mahshid Ashtari silenced the home crowd when she recorded a 11-7, 10-12, 6-11, 11-9, 11-7 win over Wang Miago.

The doubles clash was crucial and the Iranian pair of Shahsavari and Maryam Samet came from behind to defeat Chen Xingtai and Wang 6-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 to put them on the brink of success.

Shahsavari then sealed the title when she eased past Chen 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 in straight games.
