Turkey are set to win all four tennis gold medals following a sensational day of action at the fourth Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.

Their men's and women's doubles pairings both secured gold medals today while the men's and women's singles finals will both be contested by Turkish players.

The women's doubles pairing of Ayla Aksu and Berfu Cengiz saw off Uzbekistan duo Sabina Sharipova and Polina Merenkova 6-3, 7-5 at the Baku Tennis Academy.

The Uzbeks were forced to settle for silver, while the bronze went to Malaysia after Jawairiah Noordin and Theiviya Selva-Rajoo beat Turkmenistan's Anastasiya Prenko and Jahan Bayramova 7-6, 6-0.

Further Turkish success soon followed in the men's doubles with Altug Celikbilek and Ilhan Sarp Agabigun easing to victory. 

They overcame another Uzbek pairing in Amal Sultanbekov and Said-Alo Said-Karimov, 6-2, 6-2, in less than an hour.

Ayoub Chakrouni and Amine Ahouda of Morocco won the bronze medal match after the Malaysian pair of Mohamed Merzuki and Ahmed Abdul Razak were forced to retire during the third set.

Turkey are also guaranteed golds in the men's and women's singles after dominating all four semi-finals.

Celikbilek will face Anil Yuksel in the men's gold-medal match while women's doubles champions Aksu and Cengiz will square off in the women's singles final.

Iran and Azerbaijan both won gold on the final day of the diving events as they triumphed in the men's synchronised 10 metres platform and women's 3m springboard respectively.

Iran's Shahnam Nazarpour and Mojtaba Valipour prevailed in the men's synchronised 10m platform to secure their second gold of the Games, after winning the synchronised 3m springboard title.

Valipour also claimed the individual 3m springboard title last week.

The pair took gold with a score of 326.04 points to finish in front of Azerbaijan's Artem Danilov and Dmitriy Sorokin, who took silver with 265.11.

Hussein Al-Elayawi and Hussein Al-Maliki of Iraq secured bronze on 215.64.

Azerbaijan's Olga Bykovskaia claimed her second diving gold of the Games in the women's 3m springboard after she also triumphed in the 10m platform final.

She led from start to finish and won with a score of 223.10 to win the host nation's 68th gold medal in Baku.

Yaprak Seli Keskin secured silver for Turkey with 177.40 while Indonesia's Della Harimurti rounded out the podium on 168.75.

Azerbaijan concluded the Games' wrestling programme by winning a further four gold medals today at the Heydar-Aliyev Arena.

Elis Manolova, Mariya Stadnik, Leyla Gurbanova and Tetiana Omelchenko all triumphed on the fifth and final day action.

Manolova struck first as she defeated Kazakhstan's Zhamila Bakbergenova in the 69 kilograms final.

In the 48kg event, Stadnik easily saw off the challenge of Turk Evin Demiphan to claim another title for the hosts before Gurbanova easily added another gold after prevailing in the 53kg event.

Tetiana Omelchenko then completed the phenomenal day for the hosts as she dominated Turkey's Gamze Nur Adakan to win inside a minute in the 60kg gold medal contest.

Over the course of five days of wrestling, Azerbaijan won a total of 23 medals, 12 of them gold.

The Games are due to conclude tomorrow with the final medal events before the Closing Ceremony brings proceedings to an end.
