USA Curling have announced three women’s and four men’s teams will compete in their team trials for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics.

The United States have booked places in both competitions, with Nina Roth and John Shuster having led their teams to success in the qualification for the Olympics.

Roth’s squad of Tabitha Peterson, Aileen Geving and Becca Hamilton will take on the challenge of two teams in November to ensure they represent the nation in South Korea.

Cory Christensen will skip a team which includes Sarah Anderson, Taylor Anderson and Jenna Haag, as they take on Roth’s rink, who came fifth at the World Championships earlier this year.

The final team consists of Jamie Sinclair, Alex Carlson, Vicky Persinger and Monica Walker.

Shuster, who has represented the United States at the last three Olympic Games, will lead a squad of Kroy Nernberger, Jason Smith, Sean Beighton and Quinn Evenson.

They booked the United States’ place at the Games last month, when they reached the bronze medal match at the Men’s World Curling Championships in Edmonton.

His team will face competition from a squad led by Brady Clark, who earned the national title back in 2016.

Heath McCormick, whose team is the highest ranked American squad this season with a ranking of 19, will also be in contention.

They will be joined by a squad skipped by Craig Brown, who was part of the United States’ Sochi 2014 line-up.

The Trials will take place at Baxter Arena on the University of Nebraska Omaha campus between November 11 and 18.

The victorious teams will be named as the squad for the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, subject to approval of the United States Olympic Committee.

Competition at the Games will take place from February 9 to 25 in South Korea next year.
