Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze continued their recent women’s 49erFX success by winning the discipline at the Sailing World Cup in Hyères.

The Brazilian pair, who delighted their home crowd when they were crowned Olympic champions at Rio 2016, started this season with World Cup victory in Miami.

An eight point lead gave the duo breathing space heading into today’s double point medal race, where they finished second to clinch victory.

"We have nailed the year now with Miami and now Hyères,” said Grael.

"But we have to keep our feet on the ground as we know there will be big competition ahead."

Germany's Victoria Jurczok and Anika Lorenz were 16 points behind the winners in second, while Britain’s Charlotte Dobson and Saskia Tidey earned their first World Cup podium by ending a further 13 behind in third.

The men’s 49er gold medal had already been sealed by Spain's Diego Botin and Iago Lopez yesterday, with the pair enjoying an unassailable overnight lead.

Spain’s Fernando Echavarri and Tara Pacheco ensured themselves of the Nacra 17 title by winning the medal race.

Their efforts were enough to hold off the challenge of the French pairing of Moana Vaireaux and Manon Audinet, who took the silver medal.

Lin Ea Cenholt and Christian Peter Lubeck of Denmark settled for bronze.

The kiteboarding crown was claimed by France’s Nico Parlier, who won all but one race of this week’s series.

His compatriot Axel Mazella claimed the silver, with Monaco's Maxime Nocher rounding off the top three.

Damien Seguin, who missed the sole 2.4 Norlin OD race contested yesterday due to a mechanical issue, returned to wrap up victory in the Paralympic event.
